Paul Cummings
Paul Cummings has served as the Director of Development & Regenerative Agriculture – Indiana for Geenex since June 2020. He manages several utility scale solar projects in Indiana. Additionally, he researches and coordinates agricultural opportunities on solar farms that increase carbon stored in the soil for both climate & soil health benefits.
He has worked in the renewable energy field since 2006, when he got his start in the field as the Biomass Project Coordinator for the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA). In 2007 he moved to Program Manager of Renewables for the Indiana Office of Energy, where he oversaw grants and rebate programs for renewable energy projects. Paul joined EDPR in late 2008, where he worked as a Development Project Manager for EDPR, coordinating the development of the Headwaters Wind Farm. Paul then moved to Hoosier Energy in 2012 as a Senior Project Developer where he developed solar and landfill gas projects and worked on power purchase agreements (PPAs). In 2016 he joined Cooperative Solar, a small development shop, focusing on solar farm development in Indiana. Later in 2016 Paul re-joined EDPR to work on their nascent solar development efforts. He managed a team of six people developing a pipeline of more than 1 GW with 400 MW of PPA projects including the 200 MW Headwaters II wind farm (2021 COD) and the 200 MW Riverstart Solar Park (Under Construction), both in Randolph County Indiana.
Paul is a lifelong Hoosier, growing up near Greencastle and receiving his undergraduate degree from DePauw University. He then went on to get his master’s degree from Indiana University in Environmental Science. He raises sheep on farm in Franklin, IN with his wife, Dana and two sons, PJ and Owen and daughter Susan.
